At most, over ten thousand subscribers were without power due to the bad weather, but by lunchtime on Saturday, the number was down to a few thousand.

Only two orange warnings for wind and wind in combination with snowfall remain over the northwestern parts of the country.

Fallen trees are still causing problems on several roads in northern Sweden, according to the Swedish Transport Administration. The clearance work is being hampered by the weather, according to the rescue service, which previously urged residents to stay at home.

It's a risky job and we're making continuous assessments, said Niclas von Essen at the rescue service to P4 Västernorrland, in the morning.
