A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on probable cause, the higher degree of suspicion, for raping a girl of the same age at a school in Västerbotten on Wednesday, reports Expressen.
The boy, who is previously unconvicted, was arrested the same day and was detained over the weekend. He denies the crime.
It is against the background that he could influence witnesses and the injured party that he was requested to be detained, says prosecutor Edvard Breitholtz to Expressen.
The prosecutor does not want to comment on whether the boy denies that sexual intercourse took place or not.
