The two football defenders Emil Krafth, normally in Newcastle, and Eric Smith, St Pauli, are forced to withdraw from the men's national team's upcoming Nations League gathering due to injuries.

For Smith, this is the fourth time he has withdrawn from the Swedish national team. This time, it is an injury he sustained in the league match against Bayern München at the weekend that puts a stop to it. The 27-year-old will thus have to continue waiting for his debut in the A-team.

Association captain Jon Dahl Tomasson has called in Emil Holm and Samuel Dahl as replacements for the duo.

Sweden will face Slovakia on November 16 and Azerbaijan on November 19 in the Nations League.
