The Security Service arrested the man following a request from another European country, according to prosecutor Mats Ljungqvist at the National Security Unit for TT.
The lawyer Setterlund does not want to disclose which European country is involved, but his client has been requested for extradition by the country in question.
The prosecutor will now have to decide whether my client should be extradited or not, says Setterlund.
Mats Ljungqvist is tight-lipped about what the man is suspected of, but he is not considered a threat to Sweden.
I cannot go into details about what is stated in the arrest warrant due to secrecy, as specifically requested by the country in question.
However, it can be established that the person is at least suspected of committing a terrorist offense in another country than Sweden.
The man, who speaks Russian, was arrested in his absence on Thursday and apprehended in the Stockholm area by the Security Service on Friday morning.
