A telestation in the Öjaby district of Växjö has been subjected to sabotage, reports P4 Kronoberg. No one has been arrested.
Last week, one or more individuals entered through a barbed wire fence and cut cables. As a result, phone connections in the area were disrupted.
The police believe, according to the radio, that it is not a case of attempted theft of copper cables, but rather a gross sabotage.
The local radio has previously reported on similar incidents in Växjö on two occasions this spring.
