A man in his 60s who was detained, suspected of murdering a woman in Lund, has been released, writes Sydsvenskan.

According to the prosecutor, the evidence was not sufficient to keep the man detained.

In the beginning of November, the woman, who was in her 50s, was found dead in an apartment. The man was arrested later the same day.

Last week, he was detained as reasonably suspected, a lower degree of suspicion. The man was released a few days later.

The investigators are now waiting for the final results from the forensic examination.

We will continue with the measures I believe we need to take to make a final decision on whether to proceed with the case, says prosecutor Fredrik Andersson to the newspaper.
