The ski season is underway and, as usual, the Swedes start their competitive season in Bruksvallarna.

Sprint is on the program and in the qualifying round, Jonna Sundling was superior, 5.40 seconds ahead of second-place Linn Svahn, who won the sprint cup in the World Championship last season. Close behind followed Maja Dahlqvist and Johanna Hagström.

Unusual but fun to get started. I felt like Bambi, not because it was slippery, it was unusual, but it will probably get better as the competition goes on, says Sundling to SVT.

Edvin Anger was the fastest in the qualifying round on the men's side, 3.38 seconds ahead of Måns Skoglund and 4.19 ahead of Johan Häggström.

It was good, I went out big and confident and it felt good in the skiing. It's always nice to get confirmation at the beginning and be able to relax my shoulders before the final and the rest of the season, says Anger to SVT.
