The hygiene and health company Essity reports a significant increase in profit during the second quarter. The company's profit before tax increased from 3.2 billion the same quarter last year to 4.5 billion this year.
"All categories reported higher volumes, excluding the restructuring in Professional Hygiene, and within several categories, we grew faster than the market", the company writes in the interim report.
The company also states that the margins have increased as the gap between sales prices and costs has increased further during the quarter.
The net sales during the quarter decreased by 1.2 percent to approximately 36.7 billion kronor.
