A statue of the artist Carl Milles that had been missing from a hospital area in Gävle since April has been recovered.
It was found in Stockholm, says Mattias Svedberg at the police in Gävle.
The statue was found after investigative work in a flat in the capital.
The artwork is estimated to be worth up to 2 million kronor.
"We are relieved to hear that Solglitter has been found. The work is an important part of Sweden's art history, which we are very pleased to have as part of our public art collection", says Carin Palmqvist Isaksson, head of culture Gävleborg, according to a press release.
A statue of the same kind and by the same artist was stolen in Trelleborg at the beginning of June. A few days later, it was found at a scrapyard.
