The Swedish listed companies' boards are still dominated by men.
This is shown by a new report from the consulting firm PWC, which has gone through the annual reports from 2023 for all 330 companies listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange's three largest lists, reports Sveriges radio Ekot.
Among the Stockholm Stock Exchange's largest companies, 42 percent of the board members are women, while in the smaller companies, only 31 percent are women.
And the average board member is a 58-year-old man, according to the report.
"Research shows time and time again that an equal board is not only a matter of justice and ethics but also provides business benefits and competitiveness for Swedish companies," says Anna Gustring Boman, who is responsible for the report, to Ekot.
