An unknown man has knocked off the head of a statue of the Soviet dictator Josef Stalin in a park in Zvenigorod outside Moscow, reports state-owned Russian media.
In a video, the man is seen staggering around the statue before suddenly swinging his axe at it.
He also attacked a bust of the Soviet Union's founder Vladimir Lenin before leaving the site, according to local media.
The man is being sought by the police.
