It is not just the Book Fair that has the theme "space". In the next major exhibition at Fotografiska in Stockholm, which has been titled "Space", 13 artists explore the concept.
Among those participating are the multi-artist and engineer Mikael Owunna, who works at the intersection of science, art, and African cosmologies, and Matjaz Tancic from Slovenia. The latter has documented people living in a desert landscape simulating Mars, where they are preparing for a real space journey.
The Irish artist Rhiannon Adam, who was selected from among thousands of applicants to participate in Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa's SpaceX journey, tells about her experiences of a subsequently abandoned project in the exhibition.
"Space – a visual journey" is on display at Fotografiska between October 18 and March 2, 2025.
