From and including Thursday, train delays are to be expected. The reason? Trains to and from Stockholm will have to drive slower, reports Aftonbladet.
It is inspection remarks on the railways that need to be addressed, which means that the trains must reduce their speed.
For safety reasons, one must reduce the speed until the problem is resolved. The speed is reduced to a maximum of 70 km per hour, says Katarina Wolffram, press communicator for the Swedish Transport Administration, according to Aftonbladet.
It is mainly commuter trains that are affected, but some long-distance and regional trains will also have to reduce their speed.
It will probably take a couple of weeks before the work is completed, says Wolffram.
