They say they would never have competed if they had known that their competition suits had been manipulated.

"None of us would have jumped with suits that we knew were manipulated. Never", they say.

Marius Lindvik took silver in the large hill on Saturday but was disqualified along with Forfang, fifth in the competition, after Austria, Poland, and Slovenia had filed a protest.

This after a film began circulating on the internet showing that Norway had manipulated the competition suits.

On Sunday, Norway admitted to the cheating and the International Ski Federation (Fis) will investigate all Norwegian medals in ski jumping and Nordic combined, six in total.

Lindvik and Forfang, who until now have not commented after Saturday's competition, say:

"We regret that we didn't have the strength to comment to the media after what happened yesterday. We are both completely crushed."
