A 25-year-old man has been shot and injured in a shooting indoors, in an apartment, in Malmö. The man was taken to hospital by ambulance and was initially reported to be awake and able to speak.
The man's condition is now considered critical.
The police received the alarm about a shooting at around 1 am on Sunday. Currently, no one is suspected of the incident. The crime classification is attempted murder.
It's an intense effort during the first 24 hours with a lot of information to be gathered. We're still waiting for technicians to arrive at the scene. The area is cordoned off and a patrol is guarding the site until then, says police spokesperson Sara Andersson.
The police will conduct interviews and go door-to-door during the day.
During the night, a man was shot to death in a villa in Skurup. The police are looking into possible connections between the events.
When you have two shootings on the same night, we naturally look into it, but there's nothing obvious at present, says Sara Andersson.
