Google must open its operating system Android to competing app stores, according to a ruling issued by a judge in the American state of California.
The ruling is a result of Google losing a lawsuit against game developer Epic Games, which is behind the game Fortnite, last year. A jury then found that Google had used unauthorized methods to maintain its monopoly position.
According to the ruling, Google has until November to implement the changes.
Google writes in a comment that the company will ask the court to wait with the changes and that the decision will be appealed.
