A SAS flight on its way to Milan was forced to turn back to Arlanda on Sunday shortly after takeoff.
After takeoff, there was a smell they didn't recognize and landed at Arlanda again. They taxied in towards the gate and were followed by the rescue service on the way in, says flight rescue leader Jonas Brunoson to Aftonbladet.
Flight SK689 turned back to Arlanda due to an indication of smoke smell. All 157 passengers have disembarked and are waiting for their new departure. At 5 pm, they will receive more information, says Frida Jones, press communicator at Swedavia, at 4:30 pm to Expressen.
According to SVT, the alarm about the smell came at 3:50 pm, and just over ten minutes later, the plane landed at Arlanda again. According to TV4 News, the rescue service did not find any unknown smell on board the plane.
