The SAS CEO's salary is revealed in connection with the company, which was previously listed on the stock exchange, now publishing its annual report, reports Norwegian E24. In addition to the annual salary, Anko van der Werff has also received a pension supplement of 4.7 million kronor.

The airline simultaneously increased its revenue during the year to 45.9 billion kronor, but the operating loss amounted to 2.1 billion kronor. The result before tax was indeed a profit of 1.7 billion kronor, but this is linked to write-downs of loans in connection with SAS' Chapter 11 proceedings in the USA, where the company underwent a form of reconstruction.

"Our financial result improved and the number of passengers increased last year, but the restructuring processes in the USA and Sweden had a significant impact on costs. The operating result for the 2024 financial year is therefore not representative of our ongoing operations," the airline writes according to E24.
