Strawberry is cutting back on regular butter in its hotels, reports ATL. However, it will not be a total stop, assures the hotel chain.

Strawberry is switching from regular butter to a plant-based alternative at most hotels in Sweden and Finland, reports the magazine ATL. The change means, according to the magazine, a saving of over four million kronor in Sweden.

Strawberry writes in a press release that dairy butter will still be available for cooking and for guests in the future.

”It's hard to make a good hollandaise without regular butter, so we're not removing butter from the hotels, which some may have gotten the impression of after it has been spread a lot in the headlines. But we replace it as standard where regular butter is not needed for consistency or taste”, says the CEO Torgeir Silseth in a comment.
