The decision, which concerns hotels in both Sweden and Finland, means that the regular butter will be replaced in favor of a plant-based alternative, as stated in an internal email that ATL has been informed of.
The decision is based on evaluations and tests where they compared butter with plant-based alternatives – and came to the conclusion that the latter fits better into the company's sustainability work.
Additionally, the change would result in a saving of over four million kronor in Sweden.
The change applies to all hotel chains within the Strawberry group except Clarion.
