Recently, information emerged that Russia had planned to murder executives in the European defense industry.

The Swedish defense company Saab does not want to say anything about the threat picture against the company.

I cannot go into that for obvious reasons, says CEO Micael Johansson.

Last week, CNN, citing several intelligence sources, reported that Russia had plans to murder, among others, Rheinmetall's CEO Armin Papperger. Several other defense executives supporting Ukraine's defense war were also said to be on the list.

Saab does not want to comment on whether there is a threat picture against the company - or against any specific person.

All I can say is that security is extremely high on our agenda as the company we are, both when it comes to our sites where we operate and, of course, linked to individuals, says Saab CEO Micael Johansson.

He also does not want to go into how they work with these issues and how they handle the changed security situation.

But that it is highly prioritized, I can assure.

From a security perspective, has Saab made any changes since the Ukraine war broke out?

I cannot comment on that, it becomes too sensitive to go into details about how we work with it and what has happened in recent years, says Micael Johansson.
