It is in a TV interview with Spanish La Sexta that Cristiano Ronaldo – since a couple of years in the Saudi club al-Nassr – places himself on the throne among all successful male players in history.

I am the most complete football player ever. To claim that Cristiano is not complete would be to lie. I finish well with my head, take free kicks and shoot well with both feet, says Ronaldo, who on Wednesday turns 40 years old.

I haven't seen anyone who is better, and I say that with my hand on my heart, he continues.

The Portuguese says that he respects that people can prefer Pelé, Lionel Messi or Maradona, but still concludes that no one can compete with him.

I am the best in history. Period.

The striker has played in several of the world's largest clubs like Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus. He has had many coaches, but takes the opportunity to criticize some of them without mentioning names.

I have had some really bad coaches. Some of them don't know a damn thing about football, says Cristiano Ronaldo and emphasizes that it requires having played football at a high level to be a good coach.
