Richard Herrey is leaving his position as CEO of the municipal company Aurora, which operates the cultural center in Kiruna, reports NSD.
Herrey – artist, entrepreneur, and former politician for The Moderate Party – got the job in 2023.
"It is with pride and joy that I now summarize my two years in this fine house", he writes in a statement, according to NSD.
He thanks the staff but also directs criticism towards the principal, Kiruna municipality, and describes difficulties.
"The owners have from the beginning not had a clear picture of what the business should do in all parts, and how it operationally in practice should be implemented. Kiruna is also a municipality with a very strained economy, which is of course a factor in the start-up of new municipal activities."
