The suspicion remains, but we have come further in the investigation and the risk of him being able to influence it is so small that there is no reason for him to be detained, says prosecutor Tobias Kudrén to TT.
The accident occurred at midnight on New Year's Eve.
A relative of the boy has told Expressen that several people had gathered to watch the fireworks when an explosion occurred from what is claimed to be a homemade rocket. Fragments are described as having flown in all directions and the 15-year-old is said to have been hit in the head.
The boy was taken to hospital severely injured, but his life could not be saved.
Tobias Kudrén does not want to comment on the details of the incident, but says that they have a good understanding of what happened.
But there are still a lot of investigative measures left.
The man suspected of gross negligence leading to another's death has denied the crime.
He has, so to speak, reported himself. Then he has given an account, what it entails I do not want to go into now, says Tobias Kudrén.
