Six Swedish athletes are joining forces and opening a joint case in CAS, the sports arbitration court, against the Swedish Olympic Committee (SOK). This is what the active athletes write in an email to TT.

It concerns Rebecka Hallerth, hammer throw, Sara Lennman, shot put, Yolanda Ngarambe, middle-distance running, hurdlers Leo Magnusson and Simon Sundström, as well as Emil Bengtson, sailing.

They have all cleared the International Olympic Committee's qualification limits, but not reached SOK's requirements, which state that one must either have a chance of a top-twelve placement or be selected based on the so-called future criterion.

Since it is ultimately SOK that distributes the Olympic tickets, none of the six have been selected.

The goal of pursuing the process is, among other things, to participate in this year's Olympic Games.

The OS in Paris opens on July 26.
