The Court of Appeal reduces the prison sentence by ten months for a former Tre Kronor player who was convicted in the district court for, among other things, rape, writes Aftonbladet.
The sentence is reduced from three and a half years to two years and eight months. The reduction is motivated by the fact that the man has lost his job in connection with the verdict.
"It is a circumstance that, according to the Court of Appeal, should be taken into account when determining the sentence value," writes the Court of Appeal, according to Aftonbladet.
The man was convicted at the end of last year for rape, attempted rape, assault, unlawful threats, and two counts of sexual harassment. The former national team player in ice hockey admitted to unlawful threats but denied the other charges.
