Häcken is advancing in the qualifying round for the Europa League, after great drama against the Slovakian team FC Spartak Trava. In the last minute of play, John Paul Dembe made the decisive 2-2 goal.

It started well for Häcken, who came to the match after a 1–0 win on away ground. The team made 1–0 on penalty through Simon Gustafson already in the twelfth minute.

Then it looked calm for the Gothenburg team, which also had control of the match until the 64th minute. Then Roman Prochaźka in FC Spartak Travas hit a free kick from midfield directly into the goal. The Slovak team then took the lead in the 81st minute through Giorgi Moistsrepishvili.

It looked like it would be extra time until John Paul Dembe made 2–2 in the last minute of play.

In the next round, Häcken will meet the Belgian top team Anderlecht.
