The Japanese TV series "Shogun" has set a new Emmy record, at the weekend's "small" Emmy gala, a kind of pre-gala to the big gala that will be held next weekend.
"Shogun" received 14 awards, which is a record for a single season of a TV series, according to Dark Horizons. Among other things, Nestor Carbonell was awarded in the category of best male guest actor.
"Shogun" is nominated in six additional award categories for next weekend's gala.
Another big winner at the gala was the series "The Bear", which took home seven awards.
