Southern USA has been hit by a rare snowfall. A storm stretching from Texas in the west to Florida in the east has caused countless traffic accidents and thousands of cancelled flights.
Just around Atlanta, in Georgia, over 100 cars have driven off the roads, reports ABC News, which states that "several fatalities" have occurred as a result of the snowstorm in southeastern USA.
In New Orleans, Louisiana, over 20 centimeters of snow have fallen on Tuesday and Wednesday, which far surpasses the previous snow record in the city, barely 7 centimeters in 1963.
Also in Florida, a record amount of snow has fallen. In Milton, in the northwestern part of the state, 22 centimeters of snow fell, more than has ever been measured before.
