Russian Federation (Rurik) received money from the Authority for Youth and Civil Society Issues (MUCF) to promote Russian integration in Sweden. At the same time, the organization received around one million from Pravfond, a fund linked to Russian intelligence, according to SVT News.

Rurik has received around three million kronor from MUCF since 2014. Last year, the payments were stopped after allegations that the organization's chairman had spread propaganda from the Kremlin. They also demanded back over half a million kronor.

The documents about Pravfond come from a European intelligence source and a range of European media outlets are collaborating on them. The fund has, among other things, financed legal aid for everything from ordinary Russians to agents and saboteurs.
