Queen Camilla is taking sick leave from her commitments for the rest of the week as she has been struck by a respiratory infection, reports BBC, citing Buckingham Palace.
According to the court, one hopes that the 77-year-old queen will recover and be able to participate in the Remembrance Day parade, which takes place over the weekend, when the British honor citizens who have died in wars and other armed conflicts around the world.
"Her Majesty the Queen is not well at the moment and her doctor has ordered a period of rest", the court writes in a statement.
Earlier this year, King Charles was on sick leave, as he was diagnosed with cancer. He abstained from his royal duties between February and April.
