Gal Gadot is the first Israeli actress to be honored on the famous tourist attraction on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles.
However, the ceremony was disrupted by both activists protesting the war in Gaza and demonstrators supporting Israel. On published videos, police can be seen taking people into custody. No one was arrested, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The ceremony was delayed, but could then be carried out without further disruptions.
The 39-year-old Gal Gadot is currently starring in the new film version of "Snow White", but is best known for her role as "Wonder Woman". She has served in the Israeli army, but has kept a low political profile.
An exception was made by Gadot when she recently gave a speech of thanks after receiving a prize from an organization working against anti-Semitism.
I never thought we would see people in the USA who do not condemn Hamas but praise, justify, and call for a massacre of Jews, she said then.
