This is written in NY Times which has taken part of the letter where the newly appointed dance chief at the USA's national center for performing arts expresses his concern for the development within American dance and for the rise of "woke culture". He has however not answered the newspaper's questions about developing his argument.

The changes at Kennedy Center continued last week when the ballet chief Jane Raleigh and two other employees were fired. In interviews they told that the chief Richard Grenell had urged them to present a repertoire with broader appeal, and as an example he had taken the American dance reality series on TV, "So you think you can dance".

Now instead Stephen Nakagawa takes over as the center's dance chief. He is a dancer and choreographer who has been educated among other things at the Academy for Russian classical ballet, writes NY Times.

In the letter to his new chief he takes out the direction for his work:

"I would love to be part of a movement that ends the dominance of left-wing ideologies within the arts and reintroduces the classical ballet's purity and timeless beauty", writes Stephen Nakagawa.
