The Brazilian president planned to participate via video link in the meeting, where the official part takes place on 22-24 October.
Doctors report that Lula da Silva will undergo further examinations in the coming days. In the fall, Lula da Silva injured his head, which required extensive stitching.
Lula's doctor Roberto Kalil told the TV company Globonews that the condition may worsen in the coming days, and that the president is therefore under constant observation. He is doing well under the circumstances, said Dr. Kalil on Monday.
