A miniature Shetland pony has been killed by a wolf near Lerdala in Skövde municipality, reports P4 Skaraborg.
Another pony was injured in the attack, which occurred on Monday night.
The County Administrative Board has now announced a protective hunt for the wolf.
In the enclosure, there was also a stallion and a foal. It's the mare that was killed by the wolf and the stallion was injured in the same attack. But the foal survived, says Mia Bisther, who is a wildlife manager at the County Administrative Board to P4.
In connection with this, we at the County Administrative Board have made a decision on a protective hunt for a wolf.
