State-owned Apoteket reports a 15 percent profit increase for the third quarter of the year.

The operating result rose to 204 million kronor, up from 178 million during the third quarter last year.

The profit increase comes despite Apoteket being fined 37 million kronor by the Integrity Protection Authority in the quarter.

Net sales rose to 6.3 billion kronor, up from 5.7 billion.

"The period has been characterized by continued good growth and improved profitability. Apoteket is developing in the right direction and we continue to strengthen our market position", says CEO Rasmus Nerman, in a comment in the interim report.
