A boy in his late teens has died after being hit by a car on E18 Norrtälje Road in Vallentuna. Relatives have been informed, the police announce on their website.
One person is detained, suspected of causing another person's death.
The circumstances are very unclear, says Karin Rosander at the Prosecutor's Office press department.
The alarm about the accident came at two o'clock in the night. The traffic on the road was blocked for several hours and was not released until just before 10 am on Sunday morning.
