Passenger traffic on the Malmbanan, which has been out of service since the two derailments in Vassijaure during the winter, will resume on Monday, according to the Transport Administration.
Since the beginning of March, freight trains have been operating on the section, but for safety reasons, passenger traffic has not been running.
"It feels incredibly nice that we can finally release all traffic on the section," says Simon Sunna, section manager for railways at the Transport Administration, in a press release.
During the work, among other things, 30,000 metres of rail have been replaced.
