A package exploded on Lidingö outside Stockholm on Sunday. The man who was arrested in connection with a search warrant is no longer detained, the police write on their website.
According to the police, it may have been some kind of cartridge that was triggered when the package was opened inside an apartment in a multi-family house.
One person was lightly injured in the explosion and received facial injuries.
The man who was arrested and later released is in his 70s.
At the time of the arrest, the man was suspected of attempted aggravated assault and serious crime against the law on flammable and explosive goods. It is unclear whether the man is still suspected or not.
