"A Nordic summer day!"
The meteorologists at Norway's weather institute exclaimed this since 20.9 degrees were measured on the country's west coast on Thursday.
The high reading was made at Ørsta-Volda's small airport in the morning.
They warn that summer temperatures may be on the way in several places, and that it may become bathing weather in the region of Møre og Romsdal.
It's not about records yet.
The heat is unusual for October, but it happens from time to time, says duty meteorologist Eldbjørg Moxnes to the news agency NTB.
