Norwegian police have prevented several murders and serious violent crimes linked to Swedish criminals, reports NRK.

The establishment of Swedish criminals in Norway has received attention in the past year. Norwegian police say they are particularly concerned about Swedes trying to establish themselves on the drug market and Swedes committing violence on behalf of Norwegian networks.

We have seen an increase in both frequency and severity, says Kjetil Tunold at the Norwegian police to NRK.

The prevented violent crimes are often such assignments commissioned by older established criminals on various digital platforms.

This will lead to a devastating, negative spiral of crime in Norway, and take us in the same direction as the development in Sweden in recent years, says Tunold.

At the same time, Norway places great emphasis on cooperation with the Swedish police.

We are dependent on the Swedes succeeding in combating crime, says Sigve Bolstad, State Secretary at the Norwegian Ministry of Justice.
