The Polish assets were valued at around 2.4 billion kronor at the turn of the year. Last week, Northvolt sold one of the Polish factories to Scania for 63 million kronor, according to documents that Dagens industri has read.
Another higher bid was rejected since the crisis-ridden battery manufacturer needed the money quickly.
But Northvolt's press spokesperson Erik Zsiga tells TT that the unit, Systems Industrial, which was sold only accounted for a small part of the total Polish assets.
The other Polish factory, which manufactures energy storage systems, is still owned by Northvolt.
