Besides the presidential election, voting took place in several American states on Tuesday on the legalization of various drugs.
In Nebraska, where, among other things, voting took place on cannabis for medical use, the yes side won with over 70 percent, reports The New York Times.
The inhabitants of Massachusetts voted on the legalization of a number of psychedelic drugs – cultivation, use, and possession. There, the no side won with nearly 57 percent.
In Florida, North Dakota, and South Dakota, the inhabitants voted on legalizing the purchase, possession, and use of cannabis from the age of 21, as a recreational activity. In all three states, cannabis for medical use has been legal previously.
In Florida, 60 percent was required for a law change. No won with just over 44 percent. Also in North Dakota and South Dakota, the no side appears to be winning when a majority of the votes are counted.
