Strike Threat Is Canceled.
After a long night of negotiations, the airline Norwegian and the pilots' union (NPU) have reached an agreement, reports NTB. Some departures may still be canceled.
Last night at midnight, it was supposed to be settled, but it didn't happen. Instead, it turned into a long night of negotiations, with the union threatening that the pilots would start striking on Saturday morning.
But just before half seven in the morning, the message came: The parties have reached an agreement.
The negotiations have covered many aspects, but the most important ones for the pilots concerned working hours and pay.
Although the strike threat is canceled, the airline will not be able to get crews in place for all Sunday's flights. Affected passengers will be contacted directly.
