The new model is to be manufactured in Europe, the company writes in a market update without defining exactly where. Previously, Polestar has produced in the USA, South Korea, and China.
The company, where Geely is now the largest owner since Volvo Cars sold off a larger part of its shareholding, has had a tough time economically in recent years. The company's CEO, German Michael Lohscheller, is therefore presenting a new business plan where the development is intended to be turned around through several physical sales outlets and a simpler sales process.
