Jürgen Klopp has got a new employer. The German, who left the coaching job in Liverpool after last season, will work for Red Bull's network of football clubs around the world from the turn of the year.
Klopp becomes the global football chief for Red Bull. Among the clubs connected to the company are Leipzig, Salzburg, New York, and Leeds.
"After almost 25 years on the sidelines, I couldn't be more excited to work on a project like this", says the 57-year-old in a press release.
"We are very proud of this outstanding and undoubtedly strongest recruitment in Red Bull's football history", says Oliver Mintzlaff at Red Bull.
Jürgen Klopp will not be involved in the clubs' daily operations, but will work more strategically and as support and mentor to coaches and club directors.
