Trufanov is said to be held by the terrorist-stamped Islamic Jihad in the Gaza Strip. In the clip, he appeals to Aryeh Deri, a Knesset member and co-founder of the ultra-orthodox Israeli party Shas, for help.
The film clip is the second with Trufanov circulating in the same week and the fourth released since he was taken captive. It is unclear when they were recorded.
The previous video was made public on Wednesday. In it, Trufanov describes the lack of food, water, electricity, and other necessities.
The 29-year-old was captured from a kibbutz near the Gaza Strip along with his mother, grandmother, and girlfriend. All family members have Russian citizenship, and the other family members were released almost a year ago after pressure from Russian President Vladimir Putin. His father was killed in a Hamas attack.
Last month, the terrorist-stamped Hamas, which is allied with Islamic Jihad, announced that Trufanov and other Russian-Israelis would be the first to be released in a potential new deal on releases and ceasefire in the Gaza War.
