Khaddi Sagnia was plagued by injuries last year but still chose to compete at the World Championship in Budapest. Since then, the athlete's situation has deteriorated, which made her forced to end the season prematurely.
Now the Swede is making major changes.
She is leaving Ullevi for Göta, Göteborg for Karlstad, and switching coaches from Katrin Klaup to Anders Möller.
"I had been in the same bubble for many years and something new was needed for me to be able to continue. New people and a new place", she says in a press release from the Swedish Athletics Federation.
Sagnia, who this year, among other things, missed the European Championship in Rome and the Olympic Games in Paris, is now aiming to overcome the injury problems and get back on the competition arena.
"I always have big goals, but some goals I have to put aside for the time being to be able to come back and feel safe and secure", she says.
