The number of relatives of criminals seeking support from the Crime Victim Support has increased sharply, reports Swedish Radio's P3 Crime.
Last year, 214 cases were handled, which is almost twice as many as the year before.
When it comes to gang criminality, the number has increased and it's a different type of anxiety and fear they're showing, says Secretary-General Fredrik Mellqvist to the radio.
The relatives testify, among other things, that they're afraid of being exposed to crime themselves, for example through revenge actions in gang conflicts.
