At least eleven people, including two children, have died in an explosion at a gas station outside Makhachkala in Russian Dagestan, according to local authorities.
A criminal investigation into the cause of the explosion has been initiated, the authorities in the republic report. Just over a year ago, 35 people died and 115 were injured in an explosion at another gas station in Dagestan.
