The police were alerted at 22.10 on Friday evening about loud bangs in the Årby area. A little later, the injured man arrived at the hospital.

No one has been detained, says Olle Älveroth, the police's press spokesperson.

The man is in his 35s. In the shooting, the bullets hit several buildings and a window, but no other person is believed to have been injured.

The police worked at the scene throughout the night. Two cars have been seized and more finds that are interesting for the investigation have been made.

We have been able to secure certain seizures at the crime scene, but I cannot say exactly what, says Älveroth.

It is still unclear whether there are any connections to gang criminality.

But it may be a lead that is interesting to look into.
